Twice the fun , twice the glitz and glamour for instead of having just one Star Awards Ceremony this year , we will have two to look forward to in Star Awards 2007 ! And it can only be good news to all TV viewers and regular followers of local Dramas !
That's right ! The Biggest Annual Showpiece TV Event of the Year to be held end of this year will even be of greater significance as the year where Mediacorp Channel 8 celebrates it's 25 Years of Drama production and in line with this milestone occasion , this year , they are going to have a special Star Awards Edition besides the yearly normal Star Awards !
* To be held on the first two Sundays of December , the first Star Awards Ceremony called ' 25 Years of Dramas Anniversary Star Awards Edition ' , will be held on 9 December 2007 at 7pm LIVE on Channel 8 . The normal Yearly Star Awards will follow suit a week later on 16 December 2007 at the same time of 7pm LIVE on Channel 8 . The Post Awards Celebrations will be shown LIVE on Channel U at 10pm right after the 16 December 2007 Star Awards Presentations . So fans this year , not only can expect to watch and enjoy two Star Awards Ceremony presentations as well as a galaxy of popular stars from local and abroad to grace the occasion as Awards Presenters or special guest performers of the night , they also get to enjoy up to 7 hours of Star Awards Extravengaza of fun and entertainment for the first time ever in our biggest local TV Awards history ! *
So , what is in store for this Special 25 Years of Dramas Anniversary Star Awards Edition ? Basically , it will be a walk down memory lane all over again as Drama Serials of the past 25 golden years as well as many Mediacorp Artistes Past and Present will get a chance to be nominated for Star Awards once again and be given recognition for their hard work . Also , fans and viewers can also be part of this Special Awards night too as u will get to vote for 6 of the 11 Awards to be given out on the night . Voting commences on 8 October till 11 November where u can vote by calling the various hotline numbers !

Some of the Awards to be given out on this Special Edition Awards night include : Top 5 Favourite Theme Songs Award , Top 5 Favourite Dramas Award , My Favourite Male Artistes Award , My Favourite Female Artistes Award ,Screen Heartthrob Award , as well as Screen Sweetheart Award etc ... *
* A Special Star Awards Prelude Show to be hosted by Desmond Koh and Kym Ng will be shown on Channel 8 beginning 18 October onwards , every Thursdays at 8pm . *
