For the first time in Singapore Television history , the annual Star Awards held at the end of every year is set to take yet another twist this year ! Last year , it created history by hosting it for the first time outside Mediacorp Studios and was held at St James Power Station and saw it lasting for more than 4 hours of Awards ! With a 30 mins Walk of Fame from 6pm and the Awards proper starting at an hour's later , stretching all the way to 11pm which included a post Awards Celebrations show on Channel U from 10pm to 11pm )
This year , it is set to add yet another new Chapter in the history of Star Awards again by having two Star Awards instead of one ! As Mediacorp Channel 8 is celebrating it's 25 Anniversary of Dramas production , a Star Awards - 25 Years of Drama Anniversary Special Edition will be held on 9 December 2007 at 7pm . As a regular follower of local Dramas and having watched their production since young , naturally , I am very thrilled and excited by the news and will be looking to the arrival of the day with much anticipation .
Star Awards in itself is already a big occasion , but to have a Special Edition Star Awards in celebration of it's 25 Years of Drama production is expected to be a much much more grand affair ! Stars of yesteryear , past and Present will all be invited to grace the occasion as well as foreign stars invited to the big night as Awards Presenters or Special Performing Guests to add more glamour and glitz in what will be a truly memorable night for all of us , especially to all the artistes who will see their long years of hard work of 25 Years being truly recognised and taken notice of in such a special and grand manner ! Being nominated and getting the coveted Awards they truly deserved will undoubtedly be the icing on the cake and will long stay in the hearts and minds of everyone involved in the combined success of everyone in all their productions throughout all these years !
Since it is such a rare occasion that past Drama Serials , stars and artistes can have yet another shot at the Awards all over again , I hope to give a few suggestions ( which I hope and believe like many others too will like to see on the Awards night ) of my own as a TV fan and regular viewer of Mediacorp Productions .

Here are some Awards that I have in mind : Best Telemovie Awards , Most Memorable Character / Role By An Actor / Actress in Drama or Telemovies , Best Director , Scriptwriter , Producer Award , Best / Most Creative Promotion Award ( in how they promote the show to attract interest among viewers ) , Best All Time Drama Serial / Telemovie as well as Actor and Actresses Award and an award given to Best Foreign Actor / Actresses whom we have invited or have cooperated to work with in the Drama Serials especially co-production Serial ) as well as Best co-production Drama Serial Award .
Hopefully , these are already in the works and that they are planning already , if not hope they can consider my two cents worth of ideas .
