This evening tonight , as Singaporeans braces themselves to witness the closure of the National Stadium with the Singapore Lions taking on the Socceroos , another event just as important will be taking place at round the same time to spread a very important message to the youths and all of us !

A hosts of your favourite idols from Campus Superstars , Project Superstars as well as Singapore Idol will be performing and at the same time to spread a very important message across telling us to all GO GREEN ! Yes , a week before the LIVE EARTH Concert , a 24 hours Marathon Performance Showcase on Channel 5 & Channel U to be shown LIVE from USA next Saturday , 7 July 2007 , tonight we will be having our very own Youth ECO Concert held at Somerset Skate Park at 6pm .

U can catch your favourite stars like Project Superstar 2 winner Daren Tan , Runners up Diya Tan , Campus Superstar 1 Runners up - Teresa Tseng , as well as Renfred , Geraldine See , Singapore Idol Jonathan Leong and winner Hady Mirza ... Hosted by Bryan Wong and Felicia Chin ... It's all happening tonight at 6pm , Somerset Skate Park .

What's more is that this Mega Concert is FREE and u only have to present anything that is recyclable (e.g bottles , newspapers etc ) to gain entry to this Concert ! Get the idea ? It's that easy ! Do your little bit to help save the earth and enjoy a night of entertaining Concert in return ! Worth it right ? So , head down tonight and have a whole lot of fun with your favourite stars !

My Personal Take On Drama Serial 'The Beginning'

Well , Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial ' The Beginning' ended on Monday night and after watching the full series , I personally felt that it is indeed a very good Drama Serial and I really like it very much !

Although , I must say that the story indeed started very slowly (from Episode 1 to 15 ) before one can see real Drama starting to unfold on Episode 16 , where Tie Tou's father was stabbed to death by Eric , the Auditor in Jiang Enterprise . Some of u might feel the same way as me (having to wait for so long to see real drama ! ) ...

But , I think despite the Serial's slow start , it was still necessary after all . As u can see , the story is carefully and specially written in such a way to show the stark contrast of the friendship of the three best friends since young ,Tie Tou , Jia Ning and Yu Cheng from how they can be such good friends where they can gather ever so frequently and talked about anything and everything under the sun and shares jokes together and had so much fun to when troubles and conflicts start to arise between the three of them , how their once good friendship changed ... Good friends became enemies trying to outdo each other ...

Also , not only it is a test of their friendship but also , their indivival love life as well ...

Come to think of it , it's really heartbreaking indeed to see the three good friends ending up such a state with Yu Cheng dead . As many have been saying , if things can be the same again just like the beginning , at the time when Jia Ning used to sell fish and each live a simple , but contented and happy life ...

It's really a fantastic show with the right type of Sound effects used at the right scene and time to spice up the Drama atmosphere as well ... The acting of the Actors and Actress is great and I must say that personally , I am quite impressed with some of the Malaysian cast such as Stella Chung and Lin Yu Zhong , they potrayed their roles very well ...Also , William San ( Jay ) and the guy who played Zhiyang as well ...They really shine in their respective roles ...

It's really all Thanks to this Drama Serial that I get to know all these Actors and Actresses from our neighbours ... Together with the great theme songs sung and composed by Lin Yu Zhong himself , this Drama Serial is simply Excellent !

Such a great Drama Serial really deserve a sequel ! Really hoping and looking foward to 'Yuan Dian' Part 2 if there is one ! I am REALLY hoping that there is really Part 2 to come ...

Blockbuster Drama Serial ' The Beginning ' Finale !

The much awaited Finale of Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial 'The Beginning' was aired on yesterday evening ... For the benefit of those who missed it yesterday evening , here is a brief summary of how the story went ...

Tie Tou had been taking care of Ting Li since Ting Li became blind n neglected Jia Ning . Ting Li wanted them to be together and Ting Li tried to help them , by arranging them to meet at a restaurant . However , things didn't go as expected ... Cos Tie Tou didn't turn up - he helped an old lady on the street n his handphone dropped on the floor and when Jia Ning tried to reach him , he cannot be reached . Tie Tou tried to reach Jia Ning on her handphone but her handphone had gone out of battery.

Zhi Rong and Zhi Yang has been arrested n imprisoned for the kidnap of Hua Kang and Yu Cheng . Hua Kang gave the president post of Hua Hang Holdings to Jia Ning and when Yu Cheng saw the newspaper report about this , that Jia Ning had replaced his position , he got very angry... Then it goes back to where we have seen at the start of Episode 1 - the fighting on the top of the building where both Tie Tou n Yu Cheng fell down from there ...

Yu Cheng lay on the road and was seriously injured while Tie Tou fell to a truck full of mattress ... Both Yu Cheng and Tie Tou were then sent to the hospital .

Ting Li was beside Yu Cheng , keeping him company in the hospital . He told Ting Li just before he died that he wanted to keep his promise by letting her regain her vision so he decided to donate his retina to her when he died .....

Tie Tou and Jia Ning got back together ...Ting Li takes care of Yu Cheng's mum ... Ting Li told Tie Tou and Jia Ning that she and Yu Cheng have the fate to be together forever as part of Yu Cheng is on her body for life - his retina .

The story ends with Jia Ning and Tie Tou holding hands together , watching the shooting stars ...

'The Beginning' Comes To An End !

Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial 'The Beginning' may have come to an end already on yesterday night , 18 June 2007 but as it is , there are still so many topics and so much issues to talk about ...

Here are what some of the Malaysian viewers have to say about the Serial's Last Episode as well as how they felt about the Drama Serial as a whole ...

"Now it's end. Haiz ... heavy hearted this drama has to leave .... "

"poor yu cheng and ting li ... even though yu cheng killed a lot of ppl..but at least he still have a heart for ting li and his mum ..."

yesterday yuan dian ending is cool ! Yu Chen died . Jia Ning together with Tie Tou ... "

"thumbs up for their acting skill ... Bravoooo!"

"life is not fair for Tingli ..... In the end, Tie Tou and Jia Ning are back together for better or worse....but Yu Cheng dies! and there's one thing he does for Ting li before he dies...he donates his retina to Tingli bcoz Tingli becomes blind during the fight among Tie Tou and Yu Cheng.......tie tou n yu cheng fall down from the tall building..but why tie tou survives? but not yu cheng? bcoz yu cheng is the villain? and tie tou is a hero? (sigh)..i know yu cheng is very greedy.......he deserves what he has done.......but i pity tingli (sigh).........."

"But, I'm glad that in the end Yu Cheng died & not Tie Tou ... If Tie Tou's the 1 who died, I'm never gonna watch Mediacorp productions anymore ..."

"i hate yu cheng! i hate rachel!!! bcoz they hurt tingli's feelings bcoz of the affair!at 1st , yu cheng was innocent bcoz he was drunk , ..then i blamed rachel ...the 2nd time ....yu cheng is guilty!!! coz he wasn't drunk then!!!!

"anyway, Kirby is my fave actress ..i just hate her character as rachel...hehe......Shaun is so handsome..but my fave is Melvin (Zhi Rong). "

"i dont agree yu cheng is the killer of his own child...coz zhi yang hired someone to kill yu cheng - that's not entirely yu cheng's fault...it's zhi yang's fault...right? yu cheng didnt do anything to him that time....just that zhi yang did something or any scandal stuff in the company n being fired...that's all...yu cheng wouldn't be so bad if the ppl around him didn't force him to choose the wrong path........ever heard of money is the root of all evil? - ppl are like that....jia ning also doesn't want to sell fish bcoz she's comfortable wt her new life. Only tie tou and ting li want to have peaceful life in KuALA Selangor. "

"how did yu cheng become a bad person?

1. bcoz his uncle has been promoting n pampered him a lot....everything on his side.

2. bcoz zhi rong hired ppl to kidnap n kill his own dad n yu cheng .

3. zhi yang against him all the time.

4. ting li confronted Jay - the maniac ended up - yu cheng stabbed jay... if yu cheng didnt kill jay...... tie tou would have died instead......but tie tou shouldnt be blamed though ... he's innocent.

5. rachel tackled him..n seduced him.......come on, all guys will be guys..just like cats being cats....u gv the cat fish..of coz the cat wants the fish right?.......if u got what i mean>........a white cloth can be dirty/grey...or black - ?........what do u think guys?...."

"but i thought tingli blamed yu cheng ? hehe ... i also dun really know who is the killer of the baby la ... can be yu cheng ... can be zhi yang ..."

"Erm... depends how u see who's the killer of the baby... if u say zhi yang cuz he hire the ppl to whack yu cheng, can also be yu cheng cuz he mess up zhi yang's life and he's the fault why zhi yang want to hire ppl to whack him... But tie tou already know that Yu Cheng killed Jay ... "

"Really crazy one la this Yu Cheng, though i *love* him, but i dislike his character in the drama... Worst than Jay... And all the while he says he's sorry and regret , all fake... continue killing each and every one and suspect everyone ... "

"yu cheng is greedy... he should have agreed to leave with ting li...but bcoz of his uncle is going to let him inherit the company he changed his mind to stay..ting li is very disappointed..and all that , ting li becomes blind....and ting li is quite stubborn..she insisted she doesn't want to leave the country with yu cheng.......tie tou is a good friend after all yu cheng has done to him......he brings jia ning to the place yu cheng n ting li used to meet - the tree.....then , they found the evidence ....the purpose of finding it - tie tou wanted to save ting li..so he wanted to find the evidence ..but jia ning is diff...all she wants is to see yu cheng in jail...(sigh)...all about revenge then .....jia ning is very ungrateful i think...think about the past...yu cheng helped her a lot.....in her SPM, bought her stuff she needed ..... like computer, bag..n all that. he helped her a lot in spite of those bad things he has done...tie tou is the one who is very grateful - he cares a lot about ting li ...coz he knows ting li is a very nice person who has helped him a lot ....... "

"everyone thinks Yu Cheng is bad ....well , there's one thing i'm angry with him - i.e. the affair between him n rachel ..that's all . the rest, ... he's not the only one to be blamed ..... if not bcoz of Jay... all this thing won't happen ... since he started killing .. he couldn't go back the right path - bcoz he's too ambitious. "
