Huang Biren Shocks Fans & Viewers With Decision To Quit Mediacorp !

Huang Biren may have made up her mind to quit Mediacorp , but u can still catch her on television in a soon to be re-run Drama Serial later this month ! The veteran Actress who has been with Mediacorp for exactly 20 years , made the shock decision to quit her acting career to be a full time mother taking care of her young 5 months old daughter , in a recent interview with The New Paper yesterday - 8 August 2008 .

Recently seen on television in the Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial - The Undisclosed 迷云二十天which has not long ago ended it's re-run , where she played a police officer in the Serial , now her sudden decision to quit Mediacorp must have come as a shock to her faithful fans and supporters ! The Undisclosed - 迷云二十天 a 20 Episodes Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial produced two years ago with Matrix Vision also stars Li Nanxing & Constance Song .

Since joining SBC back in 1988 , she has not only acted in many Drama Serials , but also saw her hosting many variety shows as well .

Of all the Drama Serials that she has acted in , her role as Wen Yu (文玉) in the Family Drama Serial produced in 1998 - Stand By Me 家人有约 was her first major breakthrough role which was also a turning point in her acting career . In the Serial , she played Xie Shouguang's wife who stood by her husband who was a very promising doctor before the latter met with an unfortunate accident and was then reduced to being a wheelchair . Malaysia's 8TV Channel annual Mega Concert of The Year - SUMMER LIVE Concert is back! 8TV’s hottest Chinese music extravaganza returns for the fourth year running with sizzling hot stars from the Asian music scene.

Last year, the scorching summer soiree saw a staggering turnout of 100,000 music lovers merrymaking at Padang Ipoh, Perak. Having been to Esplanade, Penang, then Danga Bay, Johor Baru, and Padang Ipoh, Perak, the free live party is set to blaze its way to Malacca this August.

Last year's Event which was held at Padang , Ipoh , saw huge crowds enjoying themselves to the music and the beat with entertaining great performances by some of Asian most popular artistes and singers from Taiwan , Hongkong , and even Korea . A multinational line up of stars which includes Gary Cao Ge , Vincy , FIR , JJ Lin , George Lam , Daniel Lee Ji Han , The Cross ( Korea pop group ) , Danny Wan , 2moro and of course , Malaysia's very own Project Superstar Idols from the first two Seasons .

“Over the past three years, Summer Live Concert has always been a hit amongst our fans and viewers as well music lovers. It’s a free concert that celebrates musical individuality while providing a massive opportunity for every one to get together and just have a good time,” said 8TV Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Izham Omar at a press conference last week.

The line up of stars for this year's Event is just as powerful too . A star studded list of performing stars which boosts the likes of Jolin Tsai, Show Luo Zhi Xiang , Stanley Huang, Rainie Yang, Jam Hsiao, with boybands Energy and Awaking set to entertain the many Malaysian fans and music lovers this time round .

“I’m really excited about the show because I rarely go to Malaysia . I’m looking forward to working with Stanley Huang,” said Taiwanese singer Show Luo in a tele conference during the launch of the event. The 18th Taiwanese Golden Melody Awards Most Popular Male Singer was among the international artistes who performed at the first Summer Live Concert in 2005.

“I’ve never been to Malaysia before but I heard from my friends that there are lots of lovely girls there. I hope to meet some of them on stage,” said Taiwanese American singer-songwriter Stanley Huang in a video conference at the launch.

The local artiste line-up includes the winners of three seasons of Project Superstar Malaysia – Season One’s John and Desiree, Season Two’s Henley and Orange, and Season Three’s Kay and Hau.

Returning as hosts for this Mega Concert are popular 8TV Entertainment Hosts Gary Yap, Dylan Liong, and Cheryl Lee, who will be joined by Natalie Ng for the first time at this year’s musical bash.

988 FM is once again the official radio station for the event, which is organised by 8TV Channel with Better Events and Productions. The concert is supported by the Malacca Tourism Industry, with four-time main sponsor Magnum Corporation being joined by partner sponsors Silky Girl, DaiaBaskin Robbins.

The Summer Live Concert 2008 will be staged at MITC Outdoor Parking, Malacca on Aug 23 at 8.30pm. This year, the concert is themed sporty (sports and dance) with the catchy slogan - City in Rock! Go! in line with the Beijing Olympics hosted by the Chinese capital in August .

(吉隆坡讯) 夏日8度演唱会回来了！锁定于2008年8月23日（星期六）晚上8时在假马六甲MITC户外停车场正式隆重引爆！今年的演唱会集合了台湾大马钻石级阵容包括有台湾天后蔡依林、小猪罗志祥、黄立行、萧敬腾、杨丞琳、Energy、元卫觉醒、黄俊源、陈诗莉、许俾文、陈慧恬、徐仕豪、郭晓薇等。

此外，数名歌手昨晚亲临演唱会记者会，呼吁大家到现场High个翻天。

屆時，參與演出的歌手將會以“動感+活力”出擊，勢為大馬歌迷帶來一個動感十足的夜晚。《夏日8度演唱會》將於8月23日，星期六晚上8時，在馬六甲MITC戶外停車場盛大引爆。除了台灣眾歌手外，大馬方面，參與的歌手則有三季《絕對Superstar》男女冠軍，包括黃俊源、陳詩莉、許俾文、陳慧恬、郭曉薇及徐仕豪。

小豬、JOLIN同台不合唱

亞洲流行天后蔡依林與“緋聞男友”羅志祥將結伴前來大馬參與2008年《夏日8度演唱會》，不料難得同台演出的他們，此次卻沒有同台飆歌飆舞的互動合作。羅志祥週四（19日）通過越洋電訪披露，此次他不會與蔡依林同台演出，主要原因是他們於2005年在檳城舉辦的《夏日8度演唱會》上已經同台合作過，所以希望此次能夠帶給大馬觀眾不同的感覺。

雖然與蔡依林同台合作無望，不過小豬（羅志祥暱稱）卻強調，倘若有機會，他很期待能夠與黃立行同台合作，一起飆舞。他笑稱：“黃立行的舞蹈實在太厲害了。” 首次前來大馬參與這場演唱會的黃立行也透過預錄視像坦言很期待此次大馬之行。“我沒有前來過大馬宣傳，聽說大馬的天氣很炎熱，女生都會穿得很辣、很性感，希望當晚的表演可以與辣妹們多互動。”

8TV Channel Summer LIVE Concert 2008 Is Here Again !

（吉隆坡）今年夏日八度演唱會移師馬六甲舉行，為了趕搭奧運熱潮，不但主題“震動全球Go”充 滿動感，連歌手陣容也以青春偶像為主，計有蔡依林、羅志祥、楊丞琳、黃立行、蕭敬騰、Energy、元衛覺醒；大馬方面則出動3屆《絕對 Superstar》男女組冠軍黃俊源、陳詩莉、許俾文、陳慧恬、Kay郭曉薇及Hau徐仕浩一同上陣。

今年的夏日八度演唱會是於8月23日晚上8時，在馬六甲MITC戶外停車場舉行，演出陣容當中，小豬與“麻吉”Jolin曾於2005年攜手來馬，參與了檳城場次的演出，這次兩人再度同行，但接受 現場連線訪問的小豬卻事先張揚“不會跟Jolin合唱”。

“這次我想嘗試新的東西，其實我蠻期待跟黃立行合作，因為他很會跳舞，希望我們有機會在台上尬舞。”相信大馬粉絲也希望能看到兩位“舞王”飆舞的場面。

由於這次演出主題充滿運動風，主持人無厘頭的問小豬到時會不會不穿（上衣、內褲？）上陣？結果小豬也煞有其事的回答說：“要看現場氣氛。”他也透露自己會攜帶舞台群同行，看來小豬 已準備為大馬朋友交足精彩演出了。

By now , U would have seen the PSC Nite - Cash Plus Holidays Promotions advertisements being published in newspapers as well as pamplets of it being given out when u buy your daily necessities when u shop in the participating outlets in I - Econ and your neighbourhood provision stores , and u may be wondering why is the hugely popular variety show not being shown on Channel 8 this time round ?

Yes , for your information , the promotion is already currently on - going and it will end in Mid June but the variety show itself usually shown LIVE on weekends ( Saturdays on Channel 8 ) is no where to be seen on TV this time round ! But why ? Why have they decided to scrap the show this year ? Is it due to poor TV ratings or is it because it does not want to compete directly against the on - going Sheng Siong Show which has in fact , quite a similarity to the PSC Variety Show itself ( content - wise ) ?

The PSC Cash Plus Holidays Variety Show is and has always been such a hit over the years , gaining large support and such huge popularity among our viewers here ! It allows the whole family to watch the show together to enjoy and be entertained for that one hour , with special guests performing , interesting games as well as great cash and prizes to be won just by staying at home and watching the show , so long as u did use the coupons when u shop , u will have a chance to be picked the winner !

Malaysia Project Superstar 3 Grand Finalists Kay & Hau Releases Singles Album !

The Third Season of Malaysia Project Superstar will officially come to an end after this Saturday's Grand Final .After a long hard battle for nearly three months , Kay 郭晓薇 and Hau 徐仕豪 have emerged as the respective Groups Winners to be contesting in this Saturday's Grand Final Showdown - a step closer to be crowned Superstar Winner for this third Season !

Malaysia Project Superstar 3 Grand Final This Saturday !

第三季《绝对SuperStar》总决赛，5月3日（星期六）晚上8时30分假莎亚南美拉瓦迪体育馆引爆，并由八度空间现场直播。另外，郭晓薇扬言要打败徐仕豪，成为总冠军！

本届总决赛，八度空间及万能控股公司盛情邀请光良担任表演嘉宾，同时与郭晓薇（Kay）及徐仕豪（Hau）同台对唱。这令两位“冠军”非常紧张及期待。郭晓薇说：“我既紧张又害怕。光良的声音很温馨，可以帮助我高亢的声音达到协和。”而徐仕豪则觉得光良在情歌部分掌握得非常好。

他们将和光良合唱一首歌，主办当局选了《对你有感觉》给郭晓薇，而徐仕豪会与光良合唱《不会分离》。此外，他们还要通过另5个关卡，包括快歌、钢琴伴奏演唱、自选歌、指定歌曲以及二人合唱。

郭晓薇认为自己的优势是台风强，还说：“我要打败他！因为之前两届都是男生获得总冠军，所以我要打败他。其实，他的台风比起早期真的有进步了。”徐仕豪的担忧是自己不比郭晓薇好，“她的舞台魅力很好，外形也不错，声音又甜美……我会努力的！”

目前，两位冠军人马开始加强自己不足的部分了。徐仕豪对着镜子狂练台风，而郭晓薇已选好歌曲，并且猛记歌词。

随着决赛成绩的出炉，EMI也即刻为他们推出单曲《后备》（郭晓薇）及《Love》（徐仕豪）。从本周四开始，二人将马不停蹄的进行一连串造势活动，向大众推介他们的个人单曲。单曲销售量占了成绩的30％，而观众投票则是70％。

The 3 Princesses are currently busy filming for their new upcoming New Serial - Jeanette for The Defining Moment while Joanne and Dawn for a volleyball Themed Drama Serial - 球爱大战 . For the girls , it is definitely a daring breakthrough role as they have to make so much ' sacrifices ' as they have to bare so much skin for the first time on screen !

During the interview with Mediacorp mobtv , Jeanette admitted that this is her first time having to be in such a bold and daring role , although she has bared for the screen before in The Champion wearing a bikini , but this time is different as she will be the only one having to strip ALONE this time round , compared to The Champions when she has 3 other girls to strip with her .

She expressed feeling a little embarrassed thinking about having to film the nude dancing scene as it will be in a public place and many people can see . But she says she will nevertheless still look forward to that scene when filming for it comes just that she knows she will feel very nervous .

For Dawn , though this is her very first time in her whole life wearing a Bikini ! She said that if not for her role and character in 球爱大战 , which require her to be in a swimwear , she WILL NEVER have worn a Bikini at all ! On having to wear a Bikini filming for this new Drama , she said she felt very embarrassed and was kind of shy . She actually hid in the toilet for quite a long time on the day of filming before she was due to film !

Prince Nicholas Teo To Stage Concert End of This Month !

Malaysian popular singer Prince Nicholas Teo 張棟梁 will be staging a Concert at the end of this month in Malaysia ! Entitled " From Now On ' Concert 2008 , fans will be able to see and hear him perform many of his popular songs !

演唱會投資約百萬馬幣，打造出張棟梁首場萬人售票演唱會！首次挑戰演唱會舞台，張棟梁勤去健身房鍛煉，力求在演唱會上有最好的狀態和表現。當天除了會有精湛的舞蹈演出之外，他也不介意嘗試性感造型，展示自己的鍛煉成果。

《張棟梁From Now On大馬演唱會》將於3月29日在吉隆坡Bukit Jalil室內體育館舉行，演唱會取名寓意著張棟梁的歌手之路從馬來西亞開始所以演唱會也從這裡出發。海外的歌迷已經開始訂購團體票，相信棟梁一定非常開心，也希望各地歌迷一起參予，讓這場演唱會也能成為一個歌迷們的聚會。

張棟梁之前曾在台灣《王子慶功演唱會》上與舞蹈演員大跳貼身辣舞，而在這次的演唱會上，他會加入舞蹈元素以及符合演唱會的規格排場與標准。當然的，他也希望演唱會還是以音樂為主，到時除了能成為歌迷聚會以外，棟梁更希望大家能一起來成就一場萬人大合唱的演唱會。

為了演唱會能有最好的表現，張棟梁近來勤去健身房鍛煉身體，甚至是連在春節期間都沒有間斷！棟梁每天練習舞蹈之外，還要在健身房流汗3小時以上，著實讓人擔心王子的身體是否能承受，張棟梁卻笑說："為了演唱會付出一切都是值得的，一定不會讓大家失望！"

而這次的演唱會制作班底有曾經合作過的搭檔，樂隊是大馬音樂總監Mac Chew的班底。演唱會的主題曲《新歌試唱》，是一首電子復古的流行舞曲，到時候歌迷朋友一定也會跟著琅琅上口的。演唱會上除了自己賣力的演出以外，當然還會有表演嘉賓，但到目前為止張棟梁還是不肯透露那表演嘉賓會是誰，那就讓歌迷朋友拭目以待咯！
