More Stars , more fun and certainly even more entertainment in Day 2 of AMK Hub Celebrations of it's grand official opening yesterday ! Besides having Mediacorp Artistes to appear in a series of fun and games with the shoppers earlier in the day , there was yet another day of great performances lined up for all the people there in a Mega Concert featuring Project Superstar 2 Runners up - Tan Diya , Campus Superstar 2 Female Runners up - Koh Zheng Ning and Mi Lu Bing . Nat Ho , also made a second appearance yet again following his appearance on the opening Saturday night .
The Concert was held at Level 1 Main Entrance facing the Ang Mo Kio MRT Station . The Concert was to start at 7pm , but due to artistes needing time to make -up and getting themselves ready , it was delayed till 7.15pm . When everything was all set and ready , it was time to party !
The hosts for the night's Concert were experienced hosts and DJ from Yes 933 FM - Lin Peifen and Daniel Ong of 98.7 FM . Both were very funny and helped made the atmosphere very lively and more fun with occasional jokes and struck a good understanding and chemistry hosting together as they introduced and interviewed the performing guests .
The Concert opened with a big bang very much like the first day with an Encore performance of a sizzling hot dance number from the students of Ngee Ann Poly Dance Club . Then followed by Nat Ho appearing on stage singing the same two songs -' ni rang wo zou le ' and ' yue liang dai biao sui de xin ' . Fans of Nat and those who liked his singing and who had been mesmerized by his wonderful voice surely wouldn't mind having this special Encore LIVE performance !
Next up was the turn for our very own Dancing Queen - Koh Zheng Ning to come on stage ! This was her first Live outdoor performance since being crowned Runners up in the Female Group Campus Superstar 2 competition few months back . She sang two songs , first was Jolin Tsai - ' yi ge ren huo de jing cai ' . She sang very well and she looked very pretty on stage too . In a short interview segment , she was asked whether anyone in school , particularly her classmates or teachers would go crazy over her when they recognise that she was the Campus Superstar Contestant and whether they would ask her to sing for them . However , she did not say much as she was rather shy .
Then after the short interview segment ended , she sang a second song entitled ' Yes or No ' . The fans and crowd enjoyed every minute of her performance as she entertained and thrilled us with some nice dance moves as she danced and sing in this rather fast and upbeat song .
After Zheng Ning performance ended , Diya made her appearance on stage and she was dressed as usual almost like a guy with a pair of sunglasses on which was for her second song later . She also revealed that her grandmother was also present to give her support to watch her sing and perform . Her grandmother was standing on the front row near the stage on her left .
She sang two songs too , her first was Jay Chou new song - a Theme Song from the Movie ' Secret ' entitled ' bu neng suo de mi mi ' . She sang very well and gave a fantastic performance . After the songs , the two hosts posed to her some hard questions which she also revealed some 'secrets' about herself !
Daniel Ong said that the song that she sang has some sad parts and that singers would sometimes extract their real life experience to create the required feeling to sing and portray the song , so question to her is : has she been in love and fallen out of love before ? She was seen giving a rather shy smile and laughing and could see that she was rather embarrassed to answer just nodding her head without saying much . Then Peifen question to her was that on what occasion or for which man would she be seen dressed like a lady wearing a dress ?
She said that she would wear it for her brother on his wedding day which is coming soon and she may consider wearing a bare back dress ... Besides revealing some ' secrets' about herself , she also updated us with her latest developments which she said she was currently busy preparing for the upcoming President's Star Charity . Then with that , she sang a second song which was Fang Da Tong song . She put on her sunglasses when singing this song .
Then the loudest cheers and chants were all reserved for the last performer or rather performing group of the night's Concert ! When the hosts mentioned ' Mi Lu Bing ' name , the crowds immediately came alive as chants and cheers rose in unison from their very united supporting fans and the chanting was so loud that it was almost like a mini Mi Lu Bing Concert !
After the various props had been set up , Mi Lu Bing certainly did not disappoint us as they gave an electrifying LIVE Rock Band Performance that raised the atmosphere to the maximum by a few decibals ! The music was so loud and noisy but it was to very good effect as it really live up the atmosphere by a lot and now everyone present really feels like they are watching a real Concert taking place ! They sang the first song ' lei ' . Then they continued with the second song and the third song very much in the same Rock Band and electrifying manner too !
During the short interview segment after their second song , when they were asked what was different , or what was new in the Repacked Album which was released recently that fans can expect to see and look forward to , they mentioned that there are Exclusive never seen on TV shots of them appearing for press confernce and as well as appearing for Album Promotions etc which they said was very touching and very memorable ! It was also mentioned that the Album Cover Page was done by Wei Qi and that he has done so for some other singers too ! Also , there are interesting MVs to look forward to too ! They also revealed that they are already currently very busy planning and working on their second Album .
Everyone was going absolutely crazy by now and enjoying themselves as they successfully helped made the Concert atmosphere come alive , and I must say very much alive indeed with their super loud music ! Loud appaluse were heard after their electrifying performance ! Utimately a fitting Grand Finale to a great Concert ! A Fantastic and Excellent performance from the SuperBand Champions ! If there were an Award for the Best performance of the night , it has to go to them ! Mi Lu Bing really stole the show with their jammed packed performance ! Utimately and truly a very memorable and unforgettable performance for everyone on a special night !
All the guest performers were once again invited back onto the stage to say auspicious greetings and give their heartfeit wishes to AMK Hub and they also posed for five minutes for a photo shoot together for fans standing in the front row who had brought their camera along with them . With that the two days Amk Hub Grand Opening Mega Concert officially came to an end ! It has been two greayt nights of fun , great entertainment and music for all those present ! A truly wonderful and memorable night that will long stay in the hearts and minds of those who turned up for the Concert for all of them enjoyed every minute of it and enjoyed themselves ! A really great success !
