After having released two Theme Songs Albums , a special Edition Star Awards Ceremony , published a Special Edition commerative Book and the constant re-running of past Drama Serials on Channel 8 as part of their 25 Years of Drama celebrations , it seemed that it is still not enough and now , even Channel U has been ' asked ' to join in the Celebrations too ! Now the Celebrations is REALLY in full swing !
That's right ! In case u have not noticed or realized , since mid December last year , Channel U has also began to show re-runs of past Mediacorp produced Drama Serials of the recent years too ! First , it was The Champion 任我遨游 - a swimming related storyline which starred 4 of the 7 Princesses - Felicia Chin , Fiona Xie , Jeanette Aw and Jessica Liu , as well as Toro , Qi Yu Wu and Julian Hee .
Now currently on Channel U is a 2001 Classic Drama Serial - 如何对你说 You Light Up My Life starring Ix Shen and Celest Chong - Zhang Yu Hua . This also happens to be Celest's last appearance in our local Drama scene as after this production , she decided to quit acting and venture to Taiwan to pursuit her dream of being a singer .
This Drama Serial is quite similar to last year's production of The Greatest Love of All - 爱·特别的你 where if u remember , Joanne Peh and Zhang Yaodong played the role of social workers helping those in need in their personal life . Here in this 2001 production , instead we have Celest and Ix Shen playing this role instead .
As a social worker , the pair will get to tackle many difficult cases from different walks of life of people , ranging from the very young to the elderly group as they meet the challenges in life .
Celest and Ix Shen looks a very compatable pair in this Serial on screen and especially Celest really done a very good job in potraying her role as a social worker to perfection . She brings out the helpfulness , the willingless to lend a helping hand whenever possible , the caring heart to feel for the needy people that a true social worker should have - the qualities of a good social worker extremely well indeed ! This role as a social worker really suits her indeed !
This was also the main reason why she quickly rose to fame and was so popular when this Drama was aired back in 2001 ( 14 February 2001 to 20 March 2001 ) then . Her role as a caring and helpful social worker was well liked and well received by many viewers !

Following this Drama Serial , taking it's place will be My Fair Lady 我爱钟无艳 a 2005 Drama Serial starring Fann Wong . Re-Runs begins on 21 January 2008 Mondays to Fridays at 6pm !
