Small Production , Yet So Nice To Watch ...

Following the end of Honour & Passion , taking it's place in the Channel 8 9pm Prime Time Drama time-slot is ' Like Father , Like Daughter ' - 'bao bei fu nu ping ' and it has currently shown for 5 Episodes already ....

I only started watching from last Friday onwards ( Episode 4 ) cos I was not free when it debut on Tuesday , 21 August 2007 . With a mentality of just seeing what this story is all about and how good this Drama Serial really is , I must say that after watching it for the first time on Friday has got me hooked on this Drama Serial already !

First , both it's theme songs sung by Tan Diya - Project Superstar 2 Female winner & overrall runners up was simply fantastic ! Especially it's Drama ending theme song - so soothing , the melody and tunes is catchy ! Hearing it gives one a very relaxed feeling , a clear mind and can drives one blues away !

Next , the choice of cast was excellent , and so is the plot . It seemed to me that this is a comedy Drama Serial for it has many funny moments and can really let u have a good laugh ! Also , the thing is , these funny incidents and moments being portrayed are not too exaggerating ... just good enough to make u burst out laughing , really very enjoyable to watch ! Despite it being a funny Drama Serial , it also has added many other different elements to make this Serial - even more enjoyable to watch !

Feuds & Rivalry ... Old Scores To Settle ...

Besides the many funny moments which can really tickle your funny bones , it has also added elements like feuds and rivalry , with revenge and a old score to settle ( Michelle Chong's father's death in the show was caused by his business partner after an argument with him one day when the latter pushed him , causing the former to hit his head against the wall , his head bleeding profusely . As such , the family vowed revenge one day ) Now that 'murderer ' is married to Pan Ling Ling who has a daughter who is being taught piano lessons by ... U guessed it ! Michelle Chong ! OMG ! U may say , what a small world indeed !

Scary & Horror Moments ...

And there are scary & horror parts too : Michelle Chong's brother kept feeling that there is something or someone else besides him in his bedroom and scared the wits out of him that he has been sleepless for nights !

One day , when he woke up the next morning , his face was written with a 'sha' ( means ' kill ' in Chinese ) Chinese character on his face and just in yesterday's Episode , he also has his mouth taped by masking tape and also a red lady shorts worn on his head which he has hung it above his bed to ward off evil spirits .... Very horror and scary right ?

Sweet , Romantic Love Story ...

Also , there is not forgetting the romantic love story between Joanne Peh and ( I forgot his name ) Anyway , their love story is so romantic , especially if u consider how they met each other ... So sweet ....

Why U Should Watch It ... !

There are so many reasons that u should watch this 20 Episodes Drama serial . The casts are excellent ! With cast like Vincent Ng , Joanne Peh , Jin Yin Ji ( who plays the old woman who collects rubbish ) Michelle Chong , Zheng Ge Ping , Pan Ling Ling and even Liu Ling Ling of local Movie 881 fame ... As well as Candyce Toh ( Project Superstar 1 & Star Idol fame Xu Yan Ling who plays Joanne Peh's good friend ( an ah lian character in the show ) which I thought she portrayed her character very well , very cute & funny to watch !

The roles that each of them portray fit them perfectly that u will feel that this role and character is really meant for each and everyone of them .... Their acting in this show is excellent too !

The plot and storyline is really good , so many different genres and elements in one Drama Serial alone .... Also , it don't focus so much on one love story alone so it is not too draggy and it successfully brings out the romance of the love story and makes the whole show very lively with constant laughter ! Also considering that this is just a small production Drama Serial !

If the coming up Episodes continues the same trend , it has the potential to be the Best Drama Serial & Highest Viewership Drama Serial of The Year in this Year's Star Awards !

Watch it & U will Love it !
