Now ten Years later , a rather similar Drama Serial - another Co - Production Drama Serial , this time another young boy with some magical powers too to supposedly fight off evil will be shown next week on Mediacorp Channel 8 !
The long awaited Drama Serial , originally & supposedly due to be shown last year has been moved to be scheduled for broadcast this year ! However , the timing at which the Serial will be shown has left some TV Viewers fuming mad & greatly displeased with the arrangement ! As such , it has already sparked off much controversy !
The Brand New 30 Episodes Co - Production Drama Serial < 红孩儿> - The Scarlet Kid will be shown out of Channel 8 usual Primetime Drama Serial Timeslots of 7pm or 9pm ! What's more shocking was the fact that neither was it arranged to be shown at 11pm on Weekdays - Mondays to Fridays ( though it is already NOT considered to be Primetime Slots ! )
Instead , it will be scheduled for broadcast at 5.30pm - on Weekdays Mondays to Fridays ! A timeslot where most working adults & some afternoon Session school pupils have yet to knock off from work or school , a timeslot where it is usually ' famous ' for showing Mediacorp Past Classic Drama Serials instead of Brand New Drama Serials !
Now a New Drama Serial will actually to be scheduled to be shown at such a ' shocking timeslot ! However , a check with Mediacorp Broadcast Schedules of Co - Production Drama Serials recently goes to ' show ' that this is in fact ' not the first time that Mediacorp Channel 8 has arranged to show a Brand New Drama Serial out of it's usual Primetime Timeslots !
First , a Co - Production Drama Serial with Hongkong counterparts Starring Mediacorp Actor Darren Lim - 林明伦, popular Hongkong Actress Nnadia Chan - 陈松伶 & 焦媛 of a touching & heartwarming Drama Serial about how a cancer stricken patient copes with his illness & his passion for music to inspire the lives of others & to live life to the fullest - in < 生命天使 > - Life Angel was shown on Sundays 11am Timeslots earlier this year in January ! Then , just very recently , another Co - Production Drama Serial - < 陆小凤传奇 > Legend Of Lu Xiao Feng Starring Mediacorp Actress 范文芳 Fann Wong , 何润东 and Hongkong Popular Actor 张智霖 was scheduled to be shown at 11pm on Weekdays - Mondays to Fridays at 11pm !
While last year , it also saw the Romantic Love Story Taiwanese Co - Production Drama Serial < 爱情占线 > - A Mobile Love Story Starring Mediacorp Artistes Christopher Lee 李铭顺 & Yvonne Lim 林湘萍 being shown on Sundays at 10.30pm too . Some may even argue that the Shaolin Warriors - < 少林僧兵 > Starring Mediacorp Artistes Christopher Lee 李铭顺 & Jeanette Aw 欧萱 currently are also being scheduled ' out of Primetime Slots ' at 10.30pm On Saturdays too , so what's the big fuss about < 红孩儿 > The Scarlet Kid being shown ' out of Primetime Slots ' of 5.30pm on Weekdays then ?
But , the fact that Mediacorp Channel 8 has NEVER scheduled a Brand New Drama to be shown at such hour for so long already has indeed sparked a great controversy & unhappiness over those concerned & prompted those who have been looking forward to the Drama TV Premiere since last year to voice out their utter great displeasure & unhappiness at the decision & arrangement being made !
