Although eleven Episodes have gone since the MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial made it's Debut end of last month , amid with much criticism over the Drama Serial lack of creativity and bad acting by some of the Casts , it still managed to attract quite a healthy number of viewership , following the Official TV Viewership Ratings released last week . ‘ The ULTIMATUM ’ - < 双子星 > attracted 902,000 number of viewers per Episode ( as of the 7th Episode ) ! Also , promotions for this star studded MEGA Mid Year Blockbuster Drama Serial is still very much on - going , such as the two Radio Interview Sessions with the Casts being scheduled for this week .
Only just two days ago , Felicia Chin , Tay Ping Hui & Hong Huifang had made their ' appearance ' for a Radio Interview on LOVE 97.2FM , then today ... another three of the Casts from the MEGA Drama Serial are scheduled to make their voices heard through the airwaves of YES 93.3FM later this afternoon !
But even before the Official Radio Interview Session had even began , the frequent followers of the Serial had been dealt a ' blow ' ....
It was indeed a case of ' so near yet so far ... It could very nearly have been three - all three from from the Ye Family on the Radio Interview Session , and how exciting & fun it would have been , with much sparks expected to fly as well ... After all , in the Blockbuster Drama Serial , most of the time their conversations almost always ended up arguing & quarrelling with each other instead ! But unfortunately , and as fate possibily would have it ... Lin Mei Jiao could not make it for the Radio Interview as she was down for a last minute filming and the next best person to replace her ' absence ' - Constance Song - is also currently not available for Interview as she is currently not in Singapore as she is on holiday trip . That being the case , Cynthia Koh has been chosen as the ' subsitute ' .
Yes , the three Special Guests for today's Radio Interview initally was supposed to have been with Jerry Yeo , Elvin Ng & the latter's ' mum ' - Lin Mei Jiao , but as she could not make it , Cynthia Koh - who played Ah Da's ( Li Nanxing ) wife in the Serial was called in as the ' subsitute ' .... One can't help but feel that had Lin Mei Jiao been able to make it for the Radio Interview , things would surely have been much more interesting & exciting indeed , with sparks expected to fly as well !
But following Lin Mei Jiao ' absence ' , much of the limelight , focus and attention will surely be on both Jerry Yeo & Elvin Ng instead ! Indeed , though much of this MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial was supposed to be on the much anticipated Duel between the two Ah Jies - Zoe Tay & Fann Wong , but it is Jerry Yeo and Elvin Ng who have successfully taken the show by storm , with their constant arguing & quarrelling with each other !
The pair always does not seem to see eye to eye with each other and many often , their conversation topics would always end up quarrelling & at times almost coming to blows with each other ! It is the fiercely fought Duel between these two ' brothers ' ( who have no real blood connections ... by the way ... ) and their determination to outdo each other that makes this MEGA Drama more exciting & interesting to watch , and at the same time , they also managed to breath much life , action & Drama to the Series too with all the chaos and problems created in the process ( while awaiting the much more dramatic & exciting Duel still to come ( between Zoe Tay & Fann Wong ) in the later part of the Series !
While much praise has been hyped on Jerry Yeo for the excellent portrayal of his baddie role as Ye Rende , the refreshing change and transformation of a good guy role in many of his previous roles to an equally bad guy role as Ye Renyi for Elvin Ng this time round has been promising too as it does show us the improvements he has made in his acting .
His portrayal of those good guy roles in his past Drama Serials has often been criticised by viewers as being ' a woodblock' or ' wooden ' and his role here in < 双子星 > - The ULTIMATUM ' has been able to let viewers see another side of him and it has indeed been a very refreshing change . However , some viewers still can't quite accept his acting & still does criticised him ...
