As part of Mediacorp Channel 8 celebrations of it's 25 Drama Anniversary this year , Channel 8 has been constantly showing u re-runs of past classic Drama Serial produced over the years in many different time-slots . Now , there are even more opportunies for u to catch Mediacorp past Drama Serials !

Across the causeway , Malaysia's 8TV Channel has been showing past Mediacorp Drama Serial on it's afternoon time-slot of Mondays to Thursdays from 5pm to 6pm . They have been showing mainly Drama Serials that were produced in 2005 this year . Previously , they had shown Potrait of Home 1& 2 - 同心圆 1 & 2 , Zero To Hero - 阴差阳错 , The Rainbow Connection - 舞出彩虹 , A New Life -有福 starring Christopher Lee and now currently , Beautiful Illusions is being shown on Malaysia's 8TV Channel .

Starring , Fann Wong , Thomas Ong , Qi Yu Wu and Yvonne Lim , Beautiful Illusions 镜中人 was being nominated for many Awards in the 2005 Star Awards .Fann Wong was nominated for the Best Actress Award in the 2005 Star Award for this role . Besides being nominated for Best Actress Award , the theme song which were sung by her as well as the Drama Serial itself were also nominated in the 2005 Star Awards for Best Theme Songs and Best Drama Serial Award .

Synopsis :

Beautiful Illusions (镜中人) is a 20-episode mystery thriller . It stars Fann Wong in two diverse roles - a quiet and nondescript cartoon illustrator with a quirky sense of style (Yixin), and a stylish, vampy air stewardess , Joeann , who lives the high life on her motorbike .

A young Yixin watches her father get stabbed to death in a park by a teen delinquent Jiansheng who is later sentenced to 17 years in jail. Psychologically scarred by the memory of her father's death, Yixin grows up bitter and vengeful, even though she appears docile and sweet outwardly. When Jiansheng is released, she discovers that he is in fact the son of a wealthy family, and embarks on a mission to sow discord between him and his newfound relatives.
