Do u find them familiar ? Think u seen them before somewhere ? Do u still remember and recognise them ? Yes , they are Kenny Lin Dao Wen (above , right ) and Charlotte Loh Feng Yi ( above , left ) . U would have remembered that they were among the lucky ones who successfully made it to the Top 24 of Channel U's Project Superstar 2 competition last year , but were unable to make it very far in their Superstar journey and were kicked out quite early in the competition .
Flashback ...
Kenny Lin Dao Wen Superstar journey ended even before it had already began as he was eliminated from the very first Quarterfinal Round ( Quarterfinal 1A ) on 23 November 2006 with a score of 28.5 , while Charlotte Loh Feng Yi Superstar journey came to an abrupt end on 14 December 2006 in the Revival Round with the lowest score of the night with 23 points .
But all this does not really matter now as they had found new life after their disappointing Superstar journey and are now among the 15 Finalists in this Sunday's 木船 The Ark Cafe 8th Singing Competition Grand Final !
Details of The Ark Cafe Grand Final are as follows :
The Grand Final will take place on this Sunday , 21 October 2007 from 6pm to 11pm . The Finalists are required to sing a total of three different genres of songs ( if they manage to reach that far , that is ) : A slow song , a fast song and a song sang by an opposite gender in a total of three rounds of competition .
Competition Format :
In the first round , out of the fifteen contestants , five of them will be eliminated , leaving the remaining ten contestants left to compete in the second round , where they are required to sing a fast song . Then another five will be eliminated , leaving the final five contestants to compete in the utimate Final round where each of them had to sing a song originally sung by an opposing gender where eventually only one winner will emerge as the overall winner of this year's Ark Cafe singing competition !
In determining the overall eventual winner , the contestant's previous rounds scores ( from the first two rounds ) will be taken into the consideration as well as the eventual total marks received by the contestant is a total of all three rounds ! The contestant with the highest scores from all the three rounds will be the overall winner .
Judges : There will be a total of six judges for the Grand Final of which four of them will be guest judges of the night . Jones , formerly who was popularly known as 石康军 - a local singer and songwriter , will be one of the judges for the night .
What They Will Be Singing ...
* Kenny Lin Dao Wen will be singing the song ' Piano ' by Fan Yi Chen while Charlotte Loh Feng Yi will be singing A- Mei Zhang Hui Mei's ' ren zhi ' in the first round slow song segment . *
