Huang Biren Among Shortlisted Nomination List in Asian Television Awards 2007 !

The biggest and the highest accolode of all television Awards in the Asian region - the annual Asian Television Awards where our nominated shows gets to compete with other shows produced by our Asian neighbouring countries too for the top honours is here once again and the shortlisted nominees for the various Awards are already out !

Channel 8

Huang Biren was nominated in the ' Best Drama Performance by An Actress Award ' for her role as Xie Wen Jing (谢文静) in the Drama Series ' Mars vs Venus ' - 幸福双人床 . Her interesting role as a fierce , naggy and fat housewife for the first time in her 20 years career here also got her in the nomination list for the Best Actress Award in Star Awards 2007 . Also other Singapore ( Mediacorp ) programme being nominated in the Award this year included Channel 8 Documentary programme ' Frontline ' - 前线追踪 on the Episode of ' The Lonely Ah Kim ' .

Channel U

Among the list of ' Best Entertainment ( One - Off / Annual ) Special Programme Award , Channel U 's search for a local talented band group Superband Grand Final made it to the nominees for this prestigious Award and they will compete with nominees from China , Malaysia , Korea and Japan .

Channel 5

Channel 5 's educational game shows ' Spell Cast where the search for Singapore's brightest and talented spelling bee game show series involving primary school students as well as the debate game show ' The Arena ' hosted by Adrian Pang made it to the nominees for ' Best Game or Quiz Programme Award .

Channel 5 comedy series ' Parental Guidence ' was nominated for two Awards : Best Comedy Programme , Lead Actress Hongkong Actress Jessica Hsuen was nominated for Best Comedy Performance by An Actress Award .

Channel 5 comedy series ' Maggie and Me ' saw it nominated for the most number of Awards ( three Awards ) by a local Channel as the comedy itself was nominated for Best Comedy Programme , Lead Actress and Actor Fiona Xie & Adrian Pang were nominated for Best Comedy Performance by An Actress Award and Best Comedy Performance by An Actor Award respectively .

Vital Battles For Honours ( Singapore Region ) :

It is also in this Best Comedy by An Actor Award that the battle from the Singapore region will be the fierciest as Adrian Pang of Maggie & Me will compete with Gurmit Singh ( PCK Final Season ) and My Sassy Neighbour's Chua Enlai for the top honours in this Award .

As for Best Comedy By An Actress Award , Fiona Xie of Maggie & Me will compete with famous Hongkong Actress Jessica Hsuen ( Parental Guidence ) for the top honours .

Huang Biren ( Mars vs Venus ) will battle with Andrea De Cruz ( Do Not Disturb - Lunch Hour ) , a Mediacorp TV 12 Drama Series for the Best Drama Performance by An Actress Award .

The Asian Television Awards 2007 Awards Night will be held end of this year .
