Unofficial NDP 2010 Song - 《梦想起飞》Gets The Thumbs Up !

With just less than two weeks to the nation's 45th Birthday , and while most Singaporeans are already very familiar with the lyrics of this year's Official NDP Theme Song - ' Song For Singapore ' by Corrine May , a Music Video of another NDP Song - 《梦想起飞》by Local Male Singer 苏奕铨 Elson Soh has been making it's rounds on the Net and on Facebook .

In the short space of four days , it has already attracted nearly 2,000 hits on Youtube and those who had watched the Music Video on the Video Sharing Site has left numerous positive comments as well as on his very own Facebook Page too . Great responses has been pouring in since the Video was been uploaded on Tuesday .

A case of deja vu , for the second year running ? Last year , we reported that most Singaporeans prefer the Unofficial NDP Song ' Things So Singaporean ' to the Official NDP Song - ' What Did You See ? ' by local band Electrico , which was not as well received . The Unofficial Song was gradually gaining in popularity shortly after it was put up on youtube . The Video also made headlines in The Sunday Times . There were also calls for ' Things So Singaporean ' to be made as the Official NDP Song instead , where a Facebook Group was created .

Similarily , this year's Unofficial Song - 《梦想起飞》also made it to The Straits Times STOMP Webpage . The song also made it to the airwaves on Mediacorp Radio YES 93.3FM on Monday when it was officially launched . This song seemed to have gone down much better with Singaporeans , judging by the great responses it has received so far .
