Elson who ? You may ask .... You may not have exactly heard his name before this or known who he actually is before you heard this song . He may be little known to many of us here in Singapore . His name may not have rang a bell to many of us at the very first instance . But after this Unofficial NDP Song , many will come to learn more about him , and to find out even more about him .

He may not have been as popular , or as big a name as his fellow local male singers such as JJ Lin or A - Do . But Elson Soh 苏奕铨 has certainly let his singing do all the talking and let the nation hear of his ' unknown identity ' . Now he has really made people sit up and take a real notice of him with this rather perfect Unofficial NDP Song with all the criteria and ingredients needed to be made an official song . Elson Soh 苏奕铨 will surely have make a big name for himself and did the nation proud for all the right reasons after singing this song ! One might even feel that it's quite a pity that such a perfect NDP Song cannot be used as the Official Song .

Perhaps , it's just the timing factor . Had it come out much earlier , who knows ? One can just wonder ... We will never know ...

• His Profile ( from Wikipedia ) :

Elson Soh 苏奕铨 was born September 6 , 1988 , is an artist under a local Label Record and Artist Management Company M5 Royal Music .

Elson studied in Yuhua Primary School , Kranji Secondary School and Pioneer Junior College . His first brush with music came when he was 14 years old , when a classmate introduced him to the guitar. They formed a band and won first prize in what was his first taste of talent time competition .

In the year 2005, he joined the talent quest Teenage Icon , organised by Teenage Magazine but he dropped out in the Semi-Finals.

He was scouted by M5 Royal Music and released his first Single《祝你幸福 》- "Wish You Happiness" in 2006 in a collaboration with EMI Music Singapore .

In 2007 , he released another new single《了解 》- "Understanding".

Since his debut in showbiz, Elson has graced many magazines and radio stations, namely SPH owned YOU Weekly Magazine and Radio Station 100.3 FM , Mediacorp I - Weekly Magazine , YES 93.3FM and 95.8 FM . He was also the cover boy of the September 7 issue of Choices Magazine.

In 2008, Elson wrote the song《爱无极限 》- "Love Infinity" for the Sichuan Earthquake victims. The song was recorded in a period of 3 days, with over 50 local artists from various singing competitions involved. Elson produced the entire recording , together with two of his friends Hazel Lim and Amos Ang .
