《红星大奖 2010》will go down as one of the longest Star Awards ever to be held in Local TV History , especially with two separate Awards Nights this year , as well as a LIVE Red Carpet Segment too , not forgetting the Post Awards Celebration Show right after the second Awards Night , all to be held at Sentosa Resort World itself ! This is also only the second time that the Star Awards had been held outside Mediacorp Studios !
Four years ago , the annual prestigious Local TV Event of The Year was being held at St James Power Station , with half an hour of the Red Carpet Show being shown LIVE one Hour earlier at 6pm on Channel 8 where Radio YES 933 FM DJ Lin Peifen and Mark Lee were Hosts for the segment interviewing the Guests Presenters and Performers as they arrive at the venue . The same thing will be done again for this year's glamourous star studded Awards Show on the last Sunday of this Month , where a 30 mins Red Carpet Segment will be shown LIVE at 5.30pm , on top of the actual three Hours Awards Show on the night at 7pm , with an Hour of Post Awards Celebration Show to follow suit on Channel U at 10pm , stretching that night's Star Awards LIVE Telecast alone for a duration of a whopping 5 Hours !
Add to the three Hours Awards Show from the first night ( to be held next Sunday , 18 Apr 2010 at Mediacorp Studios ) , and U will get a total of 8 Hours of Star Awards extravengaza over two nights ! The last time there were two separate nights of Star Awards was in 2007 with the first night specially for the 25th Drama Anniversary Awards Show and the usual Star Awards on the second night , held on the following Sunday . Still , it was a total of seven Hours over both nights !
