It's been a long wait since Ocean Au last released his new Album . That was two years ago in 2005 , the year that he appeared in Padang in a " Meet The Fans ' session jointly organised by Starhub Cable and Play Music where he showed himself and sang a series of songs as well as signed autographs for fans who have bought his Album ...
Since then , fans of Ocean Au have been waiting and waiting to hear of his songs again or see him but there have been no news since . Now , the good news is : The wait is over ! He has released his new Album recently on 23 July 2007 , last Monday and I must say that the 2 years long wait was really worth it ! Cos this new Album of his is really very good ! Excellent ! is the word I would use to describe this new Album ...
It turned out to be better than I initially thought it would be ... It really surprised and stunned me and left me really impressed by his singing ability and his talent ... This Album , I personally feel is much much better than his previous two ( not than the previous two is bad or lousy ) ... It just goes to show that he has indeed improved a lot .It's the Best and is my favourite among those albums of his that I have bought in the past two years ....
So , is this Album really that good ? Or how good is it ? Well , there are some songs of his in this Album that I would like to recommend to u all ... Especially to those who haven't buy or even heard of any of his new songs till now ...
There are a total of 11 songs in this new Album . The first Track is a short intro to his the theme song of this Album which I will go into more details later . In Track 5 我是你的天空 is every girl's favourite type of romantic love song that every girl would like to hear her boyfriend or loved ones sing to her ... The song is so romantic that if the same song is to be sung by her boyfriend or loved ones , I think the girl will go weak in her knees and melt the hearts of the girl the man loves !
* Especially To All Guys : This song is especially useful to be sung if u ever want to woo a girl , so do listen carefully and learn how to sing ! *
Track 6 蒲公英在飞is also a very nice song and especially at the chorus part , u will hear that Ocean has tried to do something he has never done before , which I think he has done it very well and I am quite impressed with the overall outcome of this song ! In Track 7 妈妈的老情歌, at the starting part , u will hear an old woman singing some short verse of a certain Cantonese song , that's his mother ! Yes , that is Ocean Au's mum herself who has also come forward to land her voice and show us her singing ability - her very own way of showing her support to her son latest Album . In The MV itself , u can see both Ocean Au and her mother in person !
Track 8 上花轿, is a fast song with some Cantonese Opera as the song background music - yet another new input that Ocean has tried to do in this Album which I must say it's really a refreshing change from all his previous songs in his Album . The way he sang is like some Chinese male Cantonese style of singing and the song itself is fast as well as gives one somewhat a rather cheeky feeling ....
Track 2 海盗船, is a fast and lively song , which gives one a really very happy feeling ! The Album Theme song is Track 3 101封情书, it's starting part is rather soothing but comes to the chorus part is very romantic ... A very nice song too !
In Track 11 你看得见钻石, is a song specially dedicated and sung to all his faithful fans and supporters of Ocean Au ... His very own way of saying a very Big Thank You to all those who have accompanied him , followed him through his ups and downs , encouraging and supporting him in each and every way that u have done that contributed to him realising his dream being a singer to the well known and popular singer that we all have all come to know of today ! Each and every lyrics of this song goes to represent the heartfeit emotions of Ocean Au , the long hard road to sucess that he has gone through .... A very touching piece of song ! I cried when I heard this song especially the chorus part !
Also Recommended :
Track 4 : 二次感冒 got nothing to do with suffering from flu or anything but rather it talks about a love lost . The girl this particular guy loves has gone and fallen for another girl .... And in Track 9 is 手心手背the starting of this song is rather slow , but when u hear till the chorus part , u will get to hear him singing high pitch range , same as in Track 12 ( the song followed right after Track 11 ended )
