Before the Asian Idol Performance Show makes to our television screens , here are the facts and details that u will need to know before u watch the biggest singing competition across Asia tonight !

* It was initally meant to be seven contestants from seven countries taking part , but SuperStar KZ, the Idol franchise of Kazakhstan, was included in the lineup but they failed to send a representative . *

How To Vote ?

Voting procedures :

There are several differences in voting and tabulation between Asian Idol and other Idol shows. Unlike the latter wherein the viewers get to vote for one contestant, the voting procedure for Asian Idol requires viewers to vote for two favorite Idols, thus allowing contestants to receive votes from their respective countries .

As consideration on population size among the participating countries, tabulation of votes are done through an "Equal and Even Cumulative Method", where the total votes of each country are converted into percentages .
