LATEST ! Campus Superstar 3 Auditions To Begin In Early November 2008 !

* Latest ! The new Season of Campus Superstar is back once again ! The popular singing competition that shot young singing talents such as Huang Zhiyang , Teresa Tseng , Keely and Shawn Tok to instant fame and popularity is back for a brand New third Season !

After the success of the first two Seasons in 2006 & 2007 , the third Season of Campus Superstar competition is scheduled to hit our TV Screens as early as January next year with the Auditions expected to be held in early November !

Viewers can expect lots of refreshing sweeping changes being made in the brand New Season of Campus Superstar from the hosts as well as to it's competition format !

For a start , the hosts for this brand new Season of CSS will be Pornsak and current hot rising star actress - Felicia Chin . This will also be Felicia Chin's first time hosting a LIVE show ! Also , as for the competition proper , it is known that the contestants will no longer be separated in two different groups - ( boys and girls groups respectively ) and required to compete in their own groups anymore ! It will be slightly different this time round .

Also, unlike previous Seasons of Campus Superstar where the Auditions were held outdoors in popular shopping centres such as Bishan Junction 8 or Toa Payoh HDB Hub , this year , all the Auditions will be held at Mediacorp Studios itself !

On this note , according to Mr Paul Chan ( MediaCorp TV's vice-president of branding and promotions ) , confirmed this news on his Blog :

" CSS3 Audition will be held on 8th and 9th of November in MediaCorp . The advantage of this is that all participants can go into separate rooms to audition (no more outdoor stage like in Toa Payoh HDB Hub where you have to be fair and all must audition waiting in queue to sing on stage) . At MediaCorp , it will speed up the process as we can have many rooms with many panel of judges . No more long waiting ... "

The Auditions will begin as early as on the second week of November 2008 - on the weekend of 8 November 2008 & 9 November 2008 ! Secondary School , JC & ITE students are welcome to take part and Contestants are to appear in their school uniforms for the Auditions !

Also , as part of Channel U's efforts to promote the New Season Competition proper which begins on 5 January 2009 , YOGA Lin You Jia of Taiwan's popular Talent Search Show - ' Millionstar ' fame has been chosen as the official ambassdor for Campus Superstar 3 !

As an ambassor of Campus Superstar 3 , he will also appear as a Special Guest to perform during the Grand Final Night to be held on Sunday , 12 April 2009 !

For the first time ever , viewers at home will be able to usher the brand New Year 2009 come end of this year with Mediacorp Channel 8 with a two hour Mega huge Countdown Party lined up for u beamed LIVE to your TV Screens , as we bid goodbye to 2008 and say ' HELLO ' to 2009 !

As with previous years' New Year Countdown Party , it has always been Mediacorp Channel 5 that brings viewers at home much fun & joy in ushering the New Year together , but come end of this year , Mediacorp has decided to do something very different and has a very big pleasant surprise in store for u !

Instead of Mediacorp Channel 5 this year , it will be Mediacorp Channel 8 that will be organising a Mega huge Countdown Party at VIVOCITY rooftop on 31 December 2008 with many popular Mediacorp artistes and Superstars expected to be in the Guest Lists to appear and perform in this Mega huge New Year Countdown Concert ! And for those who are unable to make it there to catch the Event , don't worry ... As Mediacorp Channel 8 will be showing the Event LIVE from 10.30pm onwards !

Mediacorp Channel 8 Sports Related Dramas : After ' 任我遨游 ' & ' 球爱大战 ' , Now Comes ' Table Of Glory ' - 乒乓圆 ...

It seems like Table Tennis has grown to become Singaporean's next favourite sport , besides soccer and Mediacorp is certainly riding on the fever generated from the recently concluded Beijing Olympics to produce yet another sports related Drama Serial - ' Table Of Glory ' - 乒乓圆 next year .

Perhaps inspired by the extraordinary and remarkable feat achieved by our Team Singapore paddlers , Feng Tianwei , Li Jiawei & Wang Yuegu and to ensure that the locals' passion for the sport is still there even after the Beijing Olympics ends , Mediacorp Channel 8 has decided to produce a Drama Serial about Table Tennis !

And Joshua Ang from Jack Neo's Movie - I Not Stupid - fame has been chosen as one of the casts for the Serial !

This is the third sports related Drama Serial that Mediacorp has produced over the recent past few years . As part of the Athens Olympics four years ago , Mediacorp Channel 8 produced a Swimming related Themed Serial in The Champion 任我遨游 starring Fiona Xie , , Jessica Liu , Felicia Chin , Jeanette Aw which was best remembered for their bikini running scene along Orchard Road .

Four years on , after their success on producing a sports related Drama Serial , earlier on this year , once again , as part of the Olympics , Mediacorp produced a volleyball Themed Serial - Beach . Ball . Babes . 球爱大战 starring Joanne Peh , Christopher Lee & Jesscica Liu .

Now , with such a massive following and support shown by the locals during the Beijing Olympics to our paddlers , Mediacorp hope that with the Serial , it will encourage more Singaporeans to better understand the sport & be more interested in the game , making Table Tennis the next popular sport for Singaporeans besides the Number favourite sport - soccer .

Maybe following the roaring success of the F1 Race over the weekend , perhaps it's time for Mediacorp Channel 8 to consider and produce a F1 related Drama Serial too to generate more interest among Singaporeans ? Think Initial D - The Movie by Jay Chou ...
