Both of them just went Head To Head in last Sunday's《红星大奖》 Star Awards and they will do battle against each other yet again , this time with three others to contest for the《最佳男主角》Best Actor Award in this Sunday's《红星大奖》Star Awards 2010 Ceremony to be held at Resort World Sentosa . 黄俊雄 Elvin Ng's Tarzan ( 泰山 ) & 戴阳天 Dai Yang Tian's 林小杯 Lin Xiaobei character in last year's End of Year Mega Blockbuster Drama -《当我们同在一起》TOGETHER managed to make it through to the Final Top 10 of the Favourite Male Characters Award last weekend , but were not enough to walk away with the big prize , ultimately won by dark horse 鹤天赐 Nat Ho .
Initially , some felt that both Elvin and Dai Yang Tian do not deserve a nomination in this category , especially for their performance in《当我们同在一起》TOGETHER . Their nomination , announced back in February , had some TV Viewers up in arms and crying foul of their nomination for their performance in《当我们同在一起》TOGETHER , where they felt that both had not done enough in that Serial to deserve a place in the《最佳男主角》Best Actor Award Category . If anything , they felt that a nomination for their performance in their other Drama Serial last year would have been more suitable instead .
Despite all the criticisms surrounding their controversial nominations , this Sunday , both will be locked in a fierce battle yet again for the《最佳男主角》Best Actor Award , where they will face even more stiff competition from Ah Ge 郑斌辉 Tay Ping Hui , first time Best Actor Nominee 黄炯耀 Brandon Wong & last year's winner of this category 陈汉玮 Chen Hanwei . Already three times winner of this category , 陈汉玮 Chen Hanwei hopes to make it his fourth this year with his nomination of his《企鹅爸爸》Daddy At Home character , where some people felt that it resembles more to that of Aunty Lucy , an "aunty " , that is ...
This may have been his first time being nominated for this category ( Best Actor Award ) in his entire fifteen years long acting career in Mediacorp , but 黄炯耀 Brandon Wong is already some of the fans' hot favourites to win this year's big prize for his role in last year's highest viewership Family Drama《煮妇的假期》Housewives Holidays .
Who will win it for this Sunday ? Will 陈汉玮 Chen Hanwei successfully ' defend ' his Title from last year's win , or will either Dai Yang Tian or Elvin Ng get the better of each other ? Or will it be first time lucky for 黄炯耀 Brandon Wong ?
