Will we see Li Jia Wei in a cameo role or even a lead role in Mediacorp Table Tennis Themed Drama Serial - Table of Glory 乒乓圆 next year ? This is the question some may be wondering and asking following reports of our National paddler - Li Jia Wei may be interested in acting !
Table of Glory 乒乓圆 is Mediacorp's third Sports Themed Drama Serial in recent years after - The Champions ( 2004 ) and Beach . Ball .Babes earlier this year . The casts for this New Serial has not been fully confirmed , ( though Joshua Ang of Jack Neo - I Not Stupid " Fame has been confirmed being offered a role in the Serial ) so thus rising speculation that following reports of Jia Wei may be interested in acting that there is a possibility that viewers here may just get to see her appearing in this Chinese Drama Serial !
Although she may be interested in acting , time may just prove to be a deciding and important factor of whether she could take up the role if offered to her . It is understood that Jia Wei is now focused on training for major competitions as well as preparing for the London Olympics in 2012 . If there were to be any developments , it is likely that it will happen only next year .
But Li Jia wei 's personal friend and manager - Ms Nelly Poa was quoted as saying : " Even Jia Wei is keen on acting , it is something that will likely take a while to happen " when approached for an interview by a local newspaper earlier this week .
One particular fan was however quite keen on seeing Jia Wei acting on TV : " I can see her in girl - next - door roles . I think she will do very well . Maybe they should get her to play a table tennis player ! "
So , now , the opportunity is here ... As here we have a Table Tennis Themed Drama Serial in the making and with the cast still not fully confirmed as yet , so Mediacorp , are u listening ? If Jia Wei is really keen on acting , maybe , just maybe ... Jia Wei can try to start her acting career from this Table Tennis Drama Serial onwards , and viewers may just be in for a very pleasant surprise ! We may just get to see her appearing in this new Drama Serial !
But here's the catch : That is , if time and her schedules permit !

Everyone has their first time. She should take the role. Anyhow, Mediacorp needs these athletes. They can teach the artistes, too.
ReplyDeleteI think Li Jia Wei should take up the role.It would be great if she could be a table tennis player in that show as she can act and at the same time play table tennis.If her role is a table tennis player, people will be able to see how good she is and maybe support her in the london olympics. then Li Jia Wei will feel more like a singaporean and be proud of singapore.
