Exactly one week has passed since the 1997 MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial - < 长河 > - Rising Expectations made it's Debut Re - Run last Thursday and already seven out of the 30 Episodes Series has been shown ... Written by the very same Scriptwriter 洪荣狄 who wrote similarily well received MEGA Blockbuster Dramas in recent years such as 黄金路 ( in 2007 ) , 小娘惹 ( in 2008 ) , 一房半厅一水缸 ( 2008 ) , 乒乓圆 ( 2009 ) and the upcoming MEGA Blockbuster Drama to come end of this year - < 当我们同在一起> TOGETHER ( to be shown end of November ) , as well as next year's End of Year MEGA Blockbuster Drama - < 星洲之夜 > , expect to see some dramatic scenes as the story began to reach to the climax ...

Jiahui ( played by Zoe Tay ) is sent to jail & her sister Jialing dies . Ting Ting ( played by Wong Li Lin ) comes to harm's way when she is taken away by Jacky ( played by Chun Yu Shan Shan ) ...

Episode 8 ( Monday , 7 Sept 2009 ) :

Jacky grabs Tingting and refuses to let go. Xiaofei arrives and tells him off. Jacky is determined to win Tingting over from Xiaofei.

Episode 9 ( Tuesday , 8 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui feels bad about what she did. Xiaofei is unable to choose between Jiahui and Tingting. Jialing buys an expensive electronic dictionary for Jiahui. She claims the money came from her savings.

Episode 10 ( Wednesday , 9 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui stops Shi Tou from acting rashly. Lilian is determined to see Jiahui put behind bars, so she makes Dongqing malign the latter in court. Jialing shocks everyone by revealing Dongqing is her father and that he had sought her sexual services.

Episode 11 ( Thursday , 10 Sept 2009 ) :

Tingting loses consciousness and is taken away by Jacky. Shi Tou sees Jialing getting into Jacky's car. He tries in vain to catch up with them. He does not realise Tingting is in the car too.

Episode 12 ( Friday , 11 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui gets special permission from the prison authorities to attend her sister's wake. Though she is devastated over Jialing's death, she holds back her grief and does not shed a tear. Shi Tou can't forgive himself as he had promised Jiahui to take care of Jialing while she is in jail.

The much awaited Re - Run of the 1997 MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial - < 长河 > - Rising Expectations has already started it's run on Thursday , 27 August 2009 at 12am and two Episodes of the 30 Parter Blockbuster Series has already been shown ... Here are the Synopsis for the next upcoming 5 Episodes of the Blockbuster Drama to be shown next week ( Monday , 31 August 2009 To Friday , 4 Sept 2009 ) at 12am on Mediacorp Channel 8 .

Synopsis : ( Monday , 31 August 2009 ) :

Jacky is sexually deviant and has the habit of pulling a pair of stockings over his partner during sex. He tries to do the same to Tingting. Xiaofei arrives suddenly and beats the daylight out of Jacky. He takes Tingting away.


Episode 4 ( Tuesday , 1 Sept 2009 ) :

Jialing has no interest in studies and wants to earn big bucks by becoming a karaoke lounge hostess. In an attempt to turn her life around, Jiahui tells her about their family's sad past -Their fahter, Dongqing, had abandoned them when they were very young, leaving their cancer-stricken mother to raise them.


Episode 5 ( Wednesday , 2 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui is taken aback by what Xiaofei said and tries to shrug it off. Sensing that their relationship has taken an uneasy turn, Xiaofei later claims he is not serious about what he said. Jiahui is relieved.


Episode 6 Synopsis ( Thursday , 3 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui comes to her senses and turns the yacht back for Tingting. Tingting is puzzled when Jiahui becomes very hostile towards her. Dongqing tells Jiahui to stay away from Tingting. Lilian slaps Jialing when she goes to look for her father.


Episode 7 ( Friday , 4 Sept 2009 ) :

Jiahui's truck stalls and Xiaofei helps to push the vehicle. Shi Tou finally rings up after more than a week at sea. Xiaofei is upset when Jiahui tells Shi Tou that she will wait forever for his return. He cheers up after a talk with Tingting.

Now , another Mediacorp MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial which features almost the same Casts as < 黄金路 > The Golden Path which includes : 李南星 Li Nanxing , 郑斌辉 Tay Ping Hui , and 陈靓瑄 Felicia Chin is currently also being shown in Malaysia too !

But , the difference is that this year's Mediacorp Channel 8 Mid Year MEGA Blockbuster Drama Serial < 双子星 > - The ULTIMATUM is being shown on Malaysia's Pay Cable TV Channel instead - on ASTRO 双星 Channel ( Channel 324 ) ! It is currently being shown on Weekdays too - Mondays to Fridays at an afternoon Timeslot of 4.30pm (1 Episode per day ) , with repeats on the next day at 12:30am, 10:30am & 3:30pm as well as on the 3rd day at 9.30am.
