Project Superstar 2 Winner Daren Tan Finally Releases Album !

After much delays and close to a year of long wait since being crowned Project Superstar 2 Champions , Daren Tan has finally released his first Album of his own ! Currently already on sale at all leading music stores , Daren's Album is expected to be a big hit with fans as the Album comprises one self written piece penned by him as well as some familiar songs which was used as Theme Songs for Channel 8 Drama Serials which was shown last year such as Metamorphosis Theme Song - Dou Shen , as well as Live Again Sub Theme Song - Rang Wo Wei Ni ......

Besides getting to hear him sing in this newly released Album ' 不需理由 - Regardless ', u can also get to see him appearing in a Series of Meet The Fans Sessions as well as a Special Guest on LIVE Channel 8 Variety Shows too !

Starting tonight , catch him appear in The FairPrice Chinese New Year Variety Show as a special Guest performing LIVE for u on Channel 8 at 8pm ! Then , come this Sunday , 3 February 2008 , get upclose and see him perform LIVE on stage as he makes a special appearance at the S POP Chinese New Year Mini Concert at hougang Mall ( 2pm ) .

Then as part of his New Album Promo , a Meet The Fans cum Autograph session will be held on 17 January 2008 ( Sunday ) at Junction 8 Top of The 8 Level 3 Open Plaza , 4pm .

Now only that , he will also be spreading more Chinese New Year cheers to u on Channel 8 CNY EVE LIVE Variety Show to be shown LIVE on Channel 8 at 10.30pm !

S POP Top 6 Songs Announced !

After so many weeks and months of voting , after hearing the Superstar Idols singing the 12 songs composed by our local potential songwriters on each week's of S POP Hurray Episodes on Channel U as well as the various S POP Mini Concerts around Singapore , the Top 6 songs with the highest votes have been announced !

And it's all Thanks to your votes that these 6 songs have managed to survive and are now successfully through to the Semifinal Round !

The Top 6 songs are : 发烧 Song No.11 sung by Tang Lingyi ,雨伞 Song No.5 sung by Teresa Tseng , 爱的味道 Song No.10 a Duet by Marcus and Adriano , 不再 by Kelvin Soon Wen Hai ,男人香水 Song No.7 sung by Project SuperStar season 1's Leon and last but not least - 婚礼 Song No.8 sung by Candyce Toh and Zhang Lesheng . Congratulations to these 6 songs which have made it to the Semifinal Stage of the S POP songwriting competition !

Get set for a special and super Chinese New Year this year with 8TV Channel , as the new Season of Malaysia's most popular singing competition in the Chinese POP scene - Project Superstar is back on our TV screens yet again !

Going into it's third Season for three years running , it is set to debut on the third day of Chinese New Year this year on 8TV Channel ! It will be shown over the weekends at 8.30pm starting the weekend of 9 February 2008 ( Saturday ) . The first four Episodes which will run for two weekends , will showcase the various rounds of Auditions being held all across Malaysia , in search of Malaysia's next best singing talents and how the gems of the crop made it to the utimiate Top 24 , taking their singing career a step closer to be one of the potential soon - to be New Season's Superstar Champion .

New Season SuperBand Audition Starts In April !

Think u have a very strong vocal and a very powerful voice ? Think u can really rock the atmosphere and bring the house down ? Want to be follow in the footsteps of first Season's Winner Mi Lu Bing and be as popular and famous ? Think u can be as good or even better than them ?

Then , here's your chance to showcase your talents as the new Season of SuperBand is here after a year's break last year and the Auditions will start in the first week of April . The Auditions will be held over two consecutive days over the weekend on 5 April ( Saturday ) and 6 April 2008 ( Sunday ) .

To take part , u can start to gather all your friends who has a passion of singing and that they can really sing and start to form a band of 2 to 6 people ! More details of the Auditions will be made known to u as the dates draw nearer !

U have heard the 12 Quarterfinal songs composed by our local ordinary potential ' soon - to be ' songwriters and u have also voted for their songs ! Which is your favourite piece out of the 12 songs ? Ever wish that u could hear it over and over again ? Now , here's your chance to own a piece of it and hear them as many times as u want !

SPOP HURRAY SPOP万岁创作 will be releasing a compilation album of all 12 songs . The Album will include MVs of these 12 songs , as well as JJ’s S POP Theme Song MV as well as some snippets of the road shows and some collector's item stuffs too ! The 12 compositions which made it to the Quarterfinal Stage of the inaugural songwriting composition will be made into both CDs and DVDs Versions for yours to keep !
