女主归属可能最难断定，陈莉萍分别有内心戏甚浓的<黄金路>与搞怪无厘头的<一房半厅一水缸>，自如挥洒的两种极端演译，怎能不让评审Impressed? < 沸腾冰点>”中范文芳的疯颠角色会很出位，不过早已名扬海外的她是否会被重拾<红星大奖>赏识呢？无庸质疑多年来欧萱走到今天的<小娘惹>她成功蜕变，是全年最亮眼的明星，如轻易的将女主颁给她，那么新传媒就显有捧星之嫌了。白薇秀也一样，脱胎换骨的演出令人刮目相看。陈凤玲在<黄金路>的表现是她入行以来“ 昙花一现”最成功的一次，能入围就已经是给予她最直观的肯定了。同样重头剧的<黄金路>应该被分得出一个女主的名额。

男配方面个人的预测会是周初 明。<黄金路>中他没有夸张的脸部表情与肢体动作就演活了角色，平平淡淡张显自然之意，与其他5位入围对手戛然不同，将他们6位同台一比，很容易就看出周初明不愠不火的演技，比起<小娘惹>恶的出奇的章缜翔，庸能的林明伦，夸张的姚玟隆，不屑一提的戴阳天与<沸腾冰点>的疯癫毒辣的朱厚任就显得太为刻意了。

• BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS AWARD ANALYSIS & PREDCTIONS
  

女配中6位都各有各的出位和夸张。让人不寒而栗的林梅娇，可怜虫马姐黄慧，面目可憎的郭蕙雯，吃娘惹糕点吃到爽的李茵珠，自为认命的哭包向云以及肉骨妹蔡佩璇。根据有关文字报道，行内人认为向云能把<小娘惹>中最不容易出位的角色发挥的如此到味，是向云至今最佳的表现，个人亦同意。这个奖由向云抱回，不会觉得出奇。

Has STAR Awards Best Actress hot favourite Winner - 欧萱 Jeanette Aw kissed her hopes of winning that Award goodbye on the Eve of the big day tomorrow ? For she has just been dealt a very big body blow ahead of the Grand TV Showpiece Event on tomorrow night ! She has just emerged as the ' Winner ' for the ' Worst Actress Award ' Category in an Online Voting Contest organised by a popular online Portal omy.sg .

Before this Voting Contest was organised , Jeanette Aw was widely regarded as the hot favourite for the Best Actress Award in this year's Star Award for her excellent portrayal of both characters Juxiang & Yueniang in the hit TV Blockbuster Drama Serial - 小娘惹 The Little Nyonya . She was so successful in her role in the hit TV Series that many even touted her as an upcoming Ah Jie to be .

Now all these could and may well soon change with this result from the online voting contest coming on the Eve of Star Awards Ceremony ! The tables are likely to be turned & she may be viewed as the ' Dark Horse ' instead - with either fellow Nyonya Nominee Joanne Peh or two Best Actress Award Nominee Chen Liping as the new hot favourite for the Best Actress Award on tomorrow night .

Some may feel that this Drama Serial has indeed come at the wrong time , especially if it has a lot got to do with school life , behavouir of students in schools , teachers , parents & the importance of learning the Chinese Language as when the Drama Serial officially Premieres next Wednesday , it may well ... be exam time for many students here in Singapore ! It is understood that usually at this period of time , students would be very busy preparing for their exams or for some others , would be in the midst of their exams ! Thus , this Drama Serial may very well rule out all the students , parents & maybe even some teachers for this upcoming New Drama Serial !

It's just 5 More Days to the highly anticipated TV Showpiece Event of The Year - Star Awards 2009 ! After much controversy and seeing it being postponed twice , the BIG Awards Night is finally here round the corner !

While much of the attention will be on how many Awards the hit TV Blockbuster Drama Serial - 小娘惹 The Little Nyonya will win on the Awards Night this Sunday , after gaining a total of 24 Nominations in an unprecedented scenario in Star Awards History , the other main focus of the Night has to be on one man - 郭亮 Guo Liang !

Besides being THE Man of the Big Night as a host , this year also sees him having arguably the BEST chance to break his personal Star Awards ' curse ' which has surprisingly been with him for an exact ten years already ( including this year ! )

One have to go back to exactly ten Years ago in 1999 when he last had the chance to grab hold of the Star Awards throphy ! Despite being widely recognised for having done an excellent job in hosting , the Best Variety Host Award has somehow always " manage " to elude him year after year , which saw him lose to the likes of Mark Lee ( twice ) , Bryan Wong & Quan Yifeng in recent years .

After having written the Success Stories of Last Year's End Of Year Mega BLOCKBUSTER - The Little Nyonya - 小娘惹 and seeing the Serial achieved a whopping 24 Nominations in total for this year's Star Awards , the man seemed to have done it again for his next latest work in Table Of Glory - 乒乓圆 !

洪荣狄 - Ang Eng Tee the hero behind the Hit TV Blockbuster Serial last year which saw it became the most watched Drama Serial for the last fifteen years , was also the man behind the works of Just In Singapore - 一房半厅一水缸 & the Mega End Of Year Blockbuster two years ago in The Golden Path - 黄金路 ( 2007 ) as well , which also saw him being in the running for the above mentioned three Drama Serials in this year's Star Awards 2009 for Best Scriptwriter Award !

Now his latest work - Table Of Glory - 乒乓圆 , which is currently being shown on weeknights on Channel 8 , he seemed to have done it again ! After making a slow start which saw the Serial achieved only 740,000 viewers for it's first three Episodes , it made a vast improvement in terms of TV Ratings as it saw a whopping 961,000 viewers watching the Serial on Monday Night ( 13 April 2009 ) alone , with an average of 880,000 viewers ( for 9 Episodes as of Monday - 13 April 2009 ) in the latest viewership figures released on Tuesday - 14 April 2009 , despite the Series of negative reports & comments made by the viewers as seen recently in the Chinese Evening Newspapers !

This shows that the viewers are not easily being put off by those negative reports & comments being made and do have faith & belief in this ' 金牌故事人' 洪荣狄 Ang Eng Tee that the Drama will eventually come good ! They are still enjoying the Serial as the story progresses despite all the bad press the Serial has received ! Now the good comments are slowly coming in in various popular Local Forums ! Jeanette Aw A ' Definite Choice ' In End Of Year MEGA BLOCKBUSTER Drama ?

A small ' price ' to pay for being popular ? After seeing her popularity soar to new heights from the huge success achieved from Last Year's End Of Year Blockbuster - The Little Nyonya - 小娘惹 , earning huge praises from both the media and viewers for her excellent portrayal of both characters - Juxiang & Yueniang , it now seems that Jeanette Aw is very likely to land another big role in yet another End Of Year Blockbuster Drama for this year !

There have been widespread speculations from some of the popular Local Forums that one of the three Leading roles for this year's End of Year Blockbuster - has been , and in fact already been " reserved " for Jeanette Aw and that she has been kept well wrapped in cotton wool so as to have her " fresh " and ready for this year's End of Year MEGA Drama Serial !

Besides seeing her gracing the MIPTV Event in Cannes , France recently and seeing her appearing occasionally for advertisements on television & print media , she is currently busy preparing for an upcoming specially created ' The Little Nyonya Musical ' - The Peranakan Ball which will be held next month . Xiang Yun , of course , was involved in 煮妇的假期 - ' Housewives Holiday ' where she played a typical housewife which ended it's run not too long ago . Eelyn Kok also had a new Drama as early as in February in the Idol Engineering Drama ' The Dream Catchers ' - 未来不是梦 ' and viewers will also get to see more of her in the Upcoming Drama Serial - ' 书包太重' My School Daze right after Table Of Glory together with other 小娘惹 - The Little Nyonya Artistes such as Cynthia Koh, Lin Mei Jiao, Darren Lim and Apple Hong .

Even Joanne Peh 白薇秀 who has not had any New Dramas to show for the first half of this year , is currently busy filming a 180 Episodes Long Running Drama Serial - 想握你的手 which will be shown in November . She can be also be seen on an upcoming Brand New Variety Show where she will host & interview other Mediacorp Stars in ' The Princesses & The Prince ' ...

Even Dai Yang Tian 戴阳天 who lasted only 8 Episodes in the hit Blockbuster Drama Serial last year , is currently now being seen on TV every weeknights , Mondays to Fridays in Table of Glory - 乒乓圆 ...

Except Jeanette Aw who has not seen any new Dramas involving her yet .... Surely , after gaining success from The Little Nyonya last year , it can't be that she WILL NOT be involved in any new Dramas at all for this year ?

If that's really the case , then she will DEFINITELY can't & won't be in the running at all for Next Year's Star Awards already ! And if that's really the case , then it's doesn't really make much sense too & fans & supporters of Jeanette Aw , especially , will definitely find this very hard to believe !

So far , it is now down to four New Dramas in the Second Half of this Year which are currently in the planning stage & two of which have not had any names or casts being involved in as yet .

One is a 20 Episodes Family Drama Serial tentatively called ' 我的企鹅老爸 ' , the other Drama - of course is The End Of Year Mega Blockbuster Drama Serial !

So if Jeanette were to be involved in any new Dramas at all this year , surely it can't be for the " small scale " production Family Drama Serial - ' 我的企鹅老爸' , so it MUST & Should be for The End Of Year Mega Blockbuster Drama already !

Are the " signs " really already there ? Are the " writings " really already on the wall , as they say ? ... So this leaves many of the TV Viewers to believe that the long " rest " or " break " that Jeanette Aw has been ' given ' at the moment must & surely be for THE Big One yet again this year .... U recognised her as the girl who thrashed Mai Xiaofen 麦晓芬 ( played by Teresa Tseng - 曾詠霖 ) in her first Table Tennis Competitive Match in the Idol Drama Serial : Table Of Glory - 乒乓圆where the latter lost four straight sets - even losing the last Set by 11 - 0 , utterly humilating her & thus destroying her confidence terribily . With this victory , it propelled the Former to become the next up & coming big Shinning Star in Table Tennis & even earned great praise from her Coach / Manager - 江贤 Jiang Xian ( played by Rayston Tan ) as the ' 乒乓美少女 ' ( Babe of Table Tennis ) .


Not only she is very young & has a pretty face , but she also posses a great Table Tennis technique & skill , and comes across as a very confident & ruthless opposition who shows her opponents no mercy at all as can be seen from the way she defeated & thrashed the Number 4 Seeded Mai Xiaofen completely !

" Been catching this show last 2 days and it seems pretty decent so far. Today actually shows the table tennis match and they actually added some special effect to it. Like the old volleyball show that used to be on TV. Pretty interesting and you guys should give it a go."

Great reviews & good comments are pouring in thick and fast after only three Episodes of the Drama Series has been aired ! Table Of Glory - 乒乓圆 written by the same scriptwriter who penned the Success Stories of the hit TV BLOCKBUSTER - ' The Little Nyonya' has already seen his latest works paid off with numerous good comments from the first three Episodes from our Local TV audiences after the Serial made it's Debut on April Fools Day !

The hit Mediacorp Channel 8 BLOCKBUSTER Drama - The Little Nyonya is certainly going places ! Just days after it has made a stunning appearance at the prestigious MIPTV Event in Cannes , the INTERNATIONAL Annual Film Event of the highest honour which is being held in France , now news has it that it will go even further to the US !

Yes ! US viewers will also be able to watch the Serial & get to know this unique culture which has been the main reason behind the many Success Stories surrounding this hit TV BLOCKBUSTER !

And even on our Local front , besides the upcoming STAR AWARDS which is creating much excitement among Nyonya fans as each passing day draws nearer to the Awards Night , to be held at the last Sunday of this month , a musical is already in the works and will be coming to U very soon next month in May !
